Christmas Party
( singing ) Outside the weather is frightful, but my party will be delightful, let em' come..let em' come... let em' come! I'm in a great mood, and can't wait for my Christmas party! I'm going to have a few appetizers for people to munch on. I love how Ritz crackers have snowflake shaped ones this time of year. It really goes with the Christmas theme! I worked at McDonald's when I was younger and got a really good decorating tip from them, which i do each year. Take the pictures down from your walls and wrap them like presents, put them back on the wall, and place a bow in the middle of them. It really is a cheap way to decorate. We have a huge picture on the wall and I bought a five dollar bow that's huge, and I use it every Christmas so that way I don't have to keep buying bows... at five dollars a pop that can seriously add up! I'm also putting up lights in the house, and I'm going to a fabric store to get the cotton stuff that looks like snow and use it as a table cloth! Also were having a gift exchange, which I love a nicely wrapped gift! For my gift, after I wrap it, I'm going to take glue and make stars and swirls all over the paper and then take silver glitter and pour it on so that it just stands out more! Hope you try these ideas ... especially wrapping your wall pictures to look like presents.. you'll love it!

Cookie Exchange
My cousin did a cookie exchange this last Wednesday. It was the first one I ever went to or participated in , and it was so much fun! I made sugar cookies, cut into snowflakes, and decorated with blue frosting and pearl like beads. They were so cute, but it took forever it seemed to make them all 7 dozen batches... Yikes! I was happy later when I had so many cookies and all different kinds and I would have never been able to spend all the time to make so many different kinds of Christmas cookies. Some had heath crunch on top, others the jelly in the middle, and cute little snowmen cookies; which were frosted white and then they had earmuffs on using gummy lifesaver candies one on each side, and licorice red rope ( you know the pull kind that looks like a string) that was arched connecting the earmuffs! One girl even gave out an ornament with each bag of cookies she had made. Lots of ideas for a party of my own! I'd like to here your cookie exchange ideas!
Traveling
I love taking road trips, seeing new places, and love tasting all the different food! My cousin called me, next thing I know, my bags are packed and Wisconsin here I come! Tried cheese curds for the first time and fell in love! I love cheese... that would make me a cheese head (literaly)! Its so nice seeing how everyone has grown just in two years since my last visit here. Its also halarious how the kids show off because there so excitied to see ya. Its a good life!
